Summary
Closet just by the side of his bed, Sunny pulls the wooden doors of the closet open.
..Did his mom put a mirror in here?
Sunny blinks, squinting for a moment, and realization dawns him when he notices that the figure's eyes don't follow his movement, skin borderline porcelain. He quickly staggers back and reaches for his violin behind him, only for his thin fingers to grab at air. Shoot, he left his violin downstairs. His only option now is to keep his eyes on the figure, making sure to focus on the person(?) before him.
Omori sits leaning his back against one side of the closet as the other had his black socked feet pressed on the wood, his arms are curled around his knees and Sunny can see the faint shine of his knife in his hand.
"Hi," Omori simply greets.
Sunny gets a "little brother" in the shape of his regrets.
Or, Omori is a weirdo of a kid and Sunny is not mentally stable enough to care for a 12-year-old. He still tries, though.

It sounded like a simple idea on paper. A week long road trip across the state to end off the summer with a bang. For any normal friend group, it would sound like a dream come true. Sunny's friend group was far from normal. It had been a year since he had confessed the horrible truth to his friends, and despite their assurance that he and Basil were forgiven, he couldn't help but feel like they never truly would be. Regardless, this was his chance to finally reconcile and have a great summer with his friends, just as he did when he was a child. Despite his fears, it seems like it was going to be a trip to remember.
Unfortunately, Sunny's past demons have not yet left. One in particular is very, very angry. While Sunny enjoys the final weeks of Summer with his friends, a looming shadow will remind him that sleep is no longer the escape it once was.

Summary
Sunny isn't the only one who finds himself in headspace when he dreams.
Headspace is universal.However... things are never exactly what they seem to be. Headspace is different for everyone.
Aubrey isn't pleased to find herself back in her own head. Especially not after the time she's been having recently. She's recently lost one of the few places of respite she had left... and she's not exactly in a good place. She's pissed off, lashing out, on the verge of having a breakdown... and just generally not having a great time.
Without a white space to retreat to, Aubrey ventures the massive cityscape that is her headspace, where escapism is nowhere to be found, and her gang is actually a bunch of space pirates. All the while, Someone lurks in the back alleys, bringing out the worst in Aubrey as they desperately try to reach out to her.
