Summary
Crowley has a revelation in the shower. Not the world-ending sort or the getting-laid sort, but one of the far less fun sorts. The sort that leads you to realize that something has somehow gone very wrong. Most likely, anyway. Maybe.
Heaven, why him?
(Fan Cover Art by my own Eldest Podling.)Author's Notes: This story can be read as a Standalone, OR as part of the series (located on Squidge). Innocuous came first, and nothing changes what it is--
a lovenote to footnotesan excellent GO story. The footnotes work if the story is read chapter by chapter, the footnotes map properly, but not as Entire Work.
BIG NOTE: I'm moving most of my content to Squidgeworld. My pseud is flamethrower; you can download PDFs, ePubs, & Mobi files on Squidge for easy reading just like you can on AO3.
I do not consent to my work being reposted or used in any unofficial apps or other websites. This work is not posted for anyone's profit.

OR:
Someone decides that the only way to deal with two annoying troublemakers is to stash them somewhere out of the way, possibly to be conveniently forgotten. Crowley and Aziraphale, however, are not exactly the forgettable types.

Summary
When Lucifer fell, the universe broke in half. Michael, Heaven’s Commander, has spent millennia fighting alone—his once-boundless light hardened into cold discipline as he holds creation together by sheer power. Lucifer endures torment in the Hell he despises—its fire burning him without end, its silence echoing with the absence of the family that cast him out and never came for him. Together, they are the Demiurge—the Power and the Will of God—twin forces that once forged the universe and whose fracture now threatens to unmake it.
One bound by duty, the other by despair, both are unraveling as God’s silence turns obedience into torment. Across Heaven, the Host fractures—some worship Michael’s cold perfection, others mourn the brother they lost, and the youngest know only fear. But as despair drives Lucifer toward ruin and longing pushes Michael toward defiance, even Heaven begins to crack—and the universe waits to see whether their reunion will save creation or end it.
