Summary
Belonging to a clan or a family is the most important part of everyone's life - you're either born in an elite, royal family, giving you a unique second and last name, or you spend your whole childhood training your magic skills and studying to get to the best clan - or you can simply give up on a the goods in life, respect and equal treatment by simply staying with a compound name - and no-one wants that.
