"Do you think she'll show?" Mister Edward asked after a moment, staring out the office window at the bustling hurry of cabs and carriages below as the final deliveries went out, his back to Rafferty but his voice clear. He had his arms folded in a contemplative pose, and Rafferty knew without having to see that Mister Edward was likely tapping the edge of one finger against the line of his lower lip thoughtfully. A pretty mouth, situated beneath his piercing, dark eyes. Same as his sister, and Rafferty had never been able to resist a face like that.
"Miss Cochrane?" he asked idly, resting his hat upon the desk, eyes wandering over the messy scrawl of Mister Edward's daily correspondence. Rafferty pushed aside a few missives about the latest figures from New York. Business was doing well, but Mister Edward remained pensive. "Could be she absconds with your generous stipend and decides meeting you in person isn't worth the headache."
"Always so pessimistic, Mr Rafferty?" Mister Edward cast him a side-long glance from the corner of his eye, head barely tilted in his direction.

“Do not let me keep you. We are both busy men,” Arthur said, a plastic smile stretching his lips.
“I’m afraid I can’t do that, Mister Guinness. I’m here on business myself. See, I hear someone’s been a naughty boy… whispers already starting to circulate. Nothing I can’t handle; it’s a part of my job,” Rafferty said, taking a step towards Arthur. “You’ve only been back, what. Two days? And already, you’re focused on rebuilding your reputation down at The Angel… I don’t want to cause any trouble. I’m a Guinness man through and through. But we can’t have any scandals breaking out before the funeral, now, can we?”
Rafferty offers Arthur an alternative to visiting The Blue Angel.

The young man who opens the door smiles sweetly at him, immediately inviting Sean into the house. He’s here on business, he tells the young man who offers to take his coat. The man smirks thinking he means it as an innuendo.
Sean doesn’t have the time to correct him. He moves past the man, eyes scanning the room for Arthur Guinness’ dark hair. Of course to make matters worse, the lights in the house are dimmed and visibility is poor.
Sean is forced to watch the bodies writhing in dark corners, moans of pleasure filling the air. He would hate to interrupt the young master if he was caught in the throes of pleasure. Yet a part of him wonders how Arthur would look like, his face etched with bliss.He shakes that momentary distraction away, reminding himself of the task at hand.
There are a few eyes and hands that are cast his way and Sean smiles at them politely, brushing them off as he moves from room to room with a tactical speed. He doesn’t have time for anything else right now. He needs to find Arthur and fast!
