Summary
“You alright, Ehz?” Samara asked, setting down the box cutters on a nearby chair as she turned over the cardboard flaps. He hated the way she looked at him, like she cared, but she wouldn't care if she knew the truth about him. She would look at him like every other person did who found out what he was. A monster.
“Hm? Yeah I’m fine. Feeling a bit dehydrated, I guess.” Ehzra replied, hating the fact that he was lying straight through his teeth to her. She didn’t deserve that. He hated more the way her hazel eyes burned into his skin, like they could see into his very soul, as if she already knew the monster he was. He resisted a shiver that threatened to run through his veins and gave Samara a hopefully convincing smile and sure enough, her skeptical expression turned into one of acceptance.
