Damien had thought about falling asleep in Huxley’s arms many, many times, but never like this. Bleeding profusely from three, several foot long lacerations spanning from the edges of his jaw to the middle of his chest, barely conscious, listening to Hux breathe raggedly around the edges of panic and exhaustion. And Lasko was definitely never involved.

The inversion had been difficult for everyone but the after math had been so much worse, gavin had left for almost 2 days to help caleum leaving me alone in the apartment, huxley had left on the first plane out of daliah to see his moms again to let them know he was okay and was going to be fine but also to spend quality time after that disaster, even calling it a disaster didnt seem to fit the gravity of everything. Lasko had gone almost completely awall after everything, being on the administrative side of the downfall of the ENE games was hard, especially after the suprise promotion he had gotten for helping save everyone inside the ward after it fell. Gavin had gotten home later then i had hoped but helping caleum get situated was a top priority...im just glad hes not hurting anymore and daimen he had vanished, not answering phone calls or texts, i had left his voicemail packed with panicked calls asking if he was okay. He wasn't even answering his door when i knocked, i couldnt sense his presence inside anyway. He had almost vanished. But eventually, luck was on my side.
