Summary
Chase Carter is a professional Cryptid hunter, Scarlet Jiang is a possession induced amnesiac with vital information about the recent surge of violent possession instances over the years, if only she could get her memory back. While it seems most of the entity that possessed her is gone, its essence still lingers within her, granting her supernatural abilities and painting a target on her head regarding the World Wide Cryptid Hunter Associations current kill on sight order regarding anyone retaining signs of possession after being exorcized.
This would be bad enough, but her hidden knowledge of the possession instances has an untold number of Crypids hunting her down so that the knowledge stays hidden.
Chase, both feeling sympathy for Scarlet as he suffered from a possession event when he was a boy, and also knowing she is currently the only clue to figuring out what’s going on and how to stop it, decides to take her with him as he continues to hunt down cryptids and also the truth.
