Remus’ voice is raw when he hiccups, “I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” He keeps repeating it over and over; it’s true, that there’s something wrong with him, something he can’t quite place. Or at least, he feels like it is, because why else would someone live the way he’s been living for the past week and a half if there wasn’t something wrong with them?
