“What do we do?” she muttered “it's not like we can just return them to their parents anymore…”
Phil was quiet for a while. He didn't have to speak for her to know what he was thinking, though.
“No… Phil- we can't.”
“Can't we?” he asked, letting go of her face in favour to gesture towards the babies “you said it yourself it's not like they have anywhere else to go!”
“You can't be serious, love” she argued, barely remembering to keep her voice down “they don't have anywhere to go because you murdered both their parents!”
