Summary
2015 -
Seong Gi-hun, a gambler drowning in debt and days away from becoming homeless, hits rock bottom as his mother becomes in desperate need of expensive hospital treatment. It seems his fortune is about to change when a stranger offers him the opportunity to earn money just by playing a few games. With nowhere else to turn, Gi-hun can't afford to let this chance pass by, however he soon realises he's bitten off more than he can chew when unforetold horrors unfold.
In the midst of the chaos, he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the mysterious and unassuming Hwang In-ho.
