Summary
Hermione hates Quidditch, but she’s nothing if not petty—so when her breakup with Ron leaves her with a wasted season ticket to the Chudley Cannons, she decides to force herself to go, just to annoy him. The first game is torture—until she accidentally makes eye contact with Marcus Flint, the Cannons’ star Beater, who catches sight of her reading in the stands and finds the whole thing hilarious. Amused by the idea of a Quidditch-hating bookworm in his fan section, he starts calling her out in interviews, and teasing her from the pitch. Hermione is furious—until she isn’t.
