"Hey!" The air warmed at his approach. "What're you doing all the way out here? It's freezing!"
"Just thinking."
"Thinking? About what?" He sat next to her, and only then did she realize how cold she was.
"Just some things," she said.
"Why out here?" His hand covered her own and she decided not to move another muscle. "You can think about stuff in front of the fire. With hot chocolate. And me."
"It's the end of the season. I want to witness it unfold."
