Summary
It leaves a bitter taste in his mouth and his stomach churns, maybe with guilt, or disgust, or embarrassment. His infatuation with Souh, for lack of a better term, has never been a secret to anyone, least of all Hiroki. Ever since he was a kid, he’s followed Souh’s every order, regardless of his own judgement. If Souh didn’t want to watch a show, Hiroki didn’t watch it. If Souh thought something was lame, Hiroki abandoned it. If Souh told him to leave him alone and made it clear he didn’t want to speak to him, Hiroki stepped back and watched from the sidelines. If Souh showed up with no explanation, no apology, and just demanded to be let in, Hiroki let him in.
And if Souh wanted to keep secrets and lie and mouth off to the guy holding his best friend at gunpoint and get Hiroki shot—
Well, that was just another thing Hiroki would deal with.
