Summary
Daniel glanced over at the man standing behind the desk in front of him. The man was talking to him, with his head tilted and perfect eyebrows slightly pinched. Nothing registered in Daniel’s head except that it hurt like hell, even more so than when he had first woken up. “Yeah sure, thanks a ton.” He hoped the librarian hadn’t noticed his lapse of concentration. Cute librarian snickered before asking Daniel if he could repeat back what he had just said. “Okay I ditched the library to drink my bodyweight in vodka so what” he blurted out. Well if he was going to ruin his first impression on cute library boy he may as well go the full mile.

Summary
”Clasping his now twice offended head, Daniel kicks the door closed behind the man-shaped whirlwind that just stormed into his home. He doesn’t need to further investigate the identity of this intruder: there’s only one person he knows with enough mental malaise to come pounding down his door, hours before dawn.”
[…]
” In the charged silence, the ping of response resonates like church bells. Daniel’s message had been short and to the point, devoid of his usual humor, informing Louis that his boyfriend had stolen into their apartment to find him, and would he please deign to let him know he was alive.”Louis’ answer is equally curt.
I’m ok. Drank too muchj . Staying at Lestat’s.
Then, fraction of a second later: DON’T TELL ARMAND.”
[…]
Louis makes bad decisions, and Daniel pays the toll. He’s not too mad about it, though.
