Summary
“I know nothing of what this is,” Heeseung says. “Only that you’re not alone in it. And if this is some wretched spell you’ve cast on me, and I just don’t know yet, then pray to the gods, for I will put your head on a pike myself. But if it is no spell, we are doomed for a different reason. For if you give yourself to me, I will not let you go again, Jaeyun. What is mine stays mine.”
Heeseung, a general of the royal coven, is sent to investigate rumors of an influential “matchmaker” operating in the outskirts of the city. When he meets the matchmaker in question—Sim Jaeyun—he gets much more than he ever expected. It’s no simple investigation, but him coming face to face with part of his fate.
