Summary
This AU is about the ideas of human treatment of 'living machines'. Yes, they are more alive than in cannon, I roughly base them on the theory of siliconic life. However, even though they are more alive than just machines with faces, they are totally different from carbonic life (humans, animals, plants etc.). This is the first chapter of the AU, focuses on Diesel being mistreated. Warning of mild abuse and alcohol usage. There will be several relationships and fun stuff also... possible of some supernatural activity... All in the next chapters, so please come for the ride.

(SEQUEL TO, "All Tracks Lead To You") - It has been a month since Gordon and Sam have become a couple. Since the arrival of a mysterious group, several engines of Sodor disappeared due to unknown reasons, and Gordon thinks their disappearance has something to do with some of the new visitors. Gordon, Sam, and the remaining Steam Team must find out the people behind this and save their disappeared friends before everything is too late!
After the ordeal is over, Sam and Gordon settle down on the mainland for a while, and having children has never made her life better or Gordon's, something in Sam's life comes back to bite her, and it just won't let go. Gordon has no idea what is going on and tries to be understanding, but Sam fears her fairytale life will come crashing down the second he finds out.
A strange being comes to ruin her life like she has his family, and he will do anything to keep her from pursuing him and stopping him because he will succeed in reviving his family at any cost.
