At least her little sister Dawn (who has definitely, *always* been there) likes her.
Sunnydale and the Hellmouth it was built on await her, and the ever-looming shadow of something beyond comprehension creeps ever closer.
Alt: slow-ish burn eldritch horror BtVS, will get psychological thriller-y at points (in addition to canon-typical violence)
This is an AU on multiple fronts, and will lean heavily into the supernatural "otherness" of the Slayer, coming of age in the Hellmouth, and more of the horror aspects of the source material. The canon is being used as an extremely loose guideline.

Reuniting with old friends doesn’t guarantee things will get any easier, especially if their enemies also team up to maintain the status quo. What does it mean to be The Key?
