Altea Academy for the Arts. The best high school for anyone who wanted to go into a career in the arts. Their graduates include celebrities such as Allura, the pop princess, Takashi Shirogane, a famous photographer, and Romelle Cosmond, the prima ballerina of the Daibazaal City Ballet.
And the dream school of four young teenagers: Keith Kogane, a popular artist online known only as KDraws; Katie "Pidge" Holt, a techie as well as a rock cover artist; Hunk Garrett, an author who also enjoys the culinary arts; and Lance McClain, who can't seem to decide between dance and theatre.
Each of these four is hiding a secret. They all have superpowers.
Or at least, it was a secret. Until they, along with some graduates of Altea, were called upon to protect the city from a group who wishes to do it harm.

Summary
Galra Academy is the most elite high school in every sense of the word. But what really pulled Keith in was the award-winning music program and marching band.
He never thought he'd be forced to leave and go to one Altea High School. The food is bad, everyone goofs off too much at practice, the music program is under-funded, and a certain trumpet player will not stop getting under his skin.
But Altea is the school that produced the field show that made Keith fall in love with musical performance in the first place. So who knows, maybe it won't be so bad.

“I can’t believe you can drink that.” Lance continued, apparently intent on getting a rise out of the other. “You have terrible taste.”
‘Yeah, maybe,’ Keith didn’t say, because he wasn’t thinking about his drink. “I’ve watched you funnel tequila.” He replied instead, voice flat although he did have to admit that it had been kind of impressive and strangely attractive. That is, until Lance fled the room about an hour later to revisit his lunch in the toilet. “Don’t talk to me about having bad taste.”

Summary
Voltron, a band consisting of drum expert Hunk, wizard on the keyboard Pidge, and lead guitarist, songwriter, and singer; Lance McClain, is rising in fame. However, their songs ratings are still under a mysterious artist's newest releases. Red, no one knows their real name or even gender, has been releasing albums online, and each of the songs in these albums is it's own masterpiece. Lance figures the mysterious Red and him were meant to be rivals, even though he doesn't know who they are.
Voltron's fame continues to grow and as it does so, Lance's manager Allura figures it's time they did a music video to their most popular song. Unfortunately, none of them know how to dance, but Allura says she has this covered with her old friend having a friend who would teach them. So the members of Voltron head down to a dance studio and meet their instructor, a infuriatingly attractive young man who has a strangely familiar voice.(Or: Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are in a band and need to learn to dance. Keith is a dancer, they go to him to learn how, at least for the first few chapters)
