Summary
Four friends and lovers, Jet, Kali, Flynn, and Eden joined the Brotherhood of Steel together in the Capital Wasteland to build a better life for themselves. After dealing with the horrid demands of life in the Wasteland and being queer in a world that doesn't understand them, the Brotherhood provided safety and opportunity. Since arriving in the Commonwealth aboard the Prydwen where surveillance by their fellow Brothers is at an all time high, they start to notice changes in how the Brotherhood operates and treats them; changes that are encouraged by a dangerous newcomer who seems hell bent on putting them in danger.

Nora had watched the bombs drop outside Boston. She had watched helplessly from inside her locked cyrogenic pod as her husband was killed and son taken. Sometime later, Nora was released from Vault 111 into a desolate wasteland, void of resemblance to her former life. Loved ones, homes, and civilized living were taken forcibly from her in just a few terribly, brief moments. The only familiar 'face' in the ruins of Sanctuary Hills was that of Codsworth who encourages her to search for life out in the deadly, irritated remains of the Commonwealth. Shortly after helping the small band lead by Preston Garvey, she is presented with the title of 'General' and the opportunity to lead the minutemen - a volunteer militia ready to help settlers of the Commonwealth at a moments notice. She finds new purpose in fostering the settlers around Boston. She familiarizes herself with the new factions and 'cities' that have formed in the last 200 years. She has developed a particular disgust for the Brotherhood of Steel.
So what happens when a Paladin is sent to track down the General of the Minutemen with instruction to gather intel on a strange device being built in Sanctuary?

She and Codsworth had searched Sanctuary together but found no signs of her husband and son. She had stayed behind the bot as he dispatched the flies. They looked like blue bottles she remembered, but the size of cats, shooting disgusting muck at her that burned when it made contact.
She sobbed as Nate rained praises down on her from beyond the grave. When the holotape clicked off, she pressed play again, slumping onto her side and curling into the fetal position, cradling the box of snacks to her chest. She stayed like that till morning.

Sole’s head thrashed from side to side as they searched the area for something, anything to aid their unconscious companion. Just as they were about to stand back up, to further their search, the distinct lack of breathing sounds caused their head to snap back to Hancock. They brought their ear to his mouth, waiting to feel the puff of air that never came. Pressing at his chest, Sole positioned themself over his mouth and began trying to resuscitate him, tears threatening to spill over onto their cheeks in their utter desperation.
“Don’t go Hancock.” They said between breaths, “Not you too.”
