I found the MCU film Eternals (2021) to be a bit disappointing on the writing front. Here's a short outline on what I would have liked to see instead.
This is just a summary that I wanted to get out there, so please don't expect a full-fledged script or fic or anything. I also take a little bit of liberty with the Eternals' (and Deviants') powers and origins.

In the beginning…
…before the Singularities and the dawn of creation, came the Celestials. Arishem, the Prime Celestial, created the first sun and brought light into the universe. Life began, and thrived.
All was in balance.
Until an unnatural species of predator emerged from deep in space to feed on intelligent life - They were known as Deviants. The universe was plunged into chaos.
To restore the natural order, Arishem sent Eternals - immortal heroes from the planet Olympia - to eliminate the Deviants.
Eternals had unyielding faith in Arishem until one mission, led by the Prime Eternal, Ajak, changed everything…

Summary
He is Druig, lead singer and guitarist of Arishem's Children and he is taking the world by storm at twenty-nine. In the distance, he can hear his song playing, Woman in Red, his baritone voice crooning on a vinyl.
But tonight, he is not a musician; instead, he is just simply plain Druig. He is taking his girlfriend, soon fiancée, Makkari, on a glorious date he's promised her, flowers and a fresh pumpkin in his hands.
But it is also Devil's Night and he should've known that hell would have opened its doors tonight, sooner or later.
in which: Druig is brutally murdered the night before his wedding and comes back to life as an undead avenger of his and his fiancée's murder.

Summary
After killing Ajak, Ikaris struggles between protecting his fellow Eternals from the Deviants and his mission to accomplish Arishem's design. As things start to get out of control and his fellows almost get killed by Kro, he found his faith or Arishem had started to disintegrate under the weight of his emotion and sense of mission. (Hurt Ikaris yay!)
Ok I'm so bad at summaries.
Basically the storyline followed the movie with a few changes, with a somewhat different ending. Kro's gonna play a big part here, also, Tiamut too.
No offense to the original movie script though, the movie was amazing!! Just something popped out from my head after I saw the movie and has haunted me ever since so I had to write it down... -

This fic rests on three general pillars: the original plot of Eternals (2021), the author's perverted logic and my eternal love for the entire Eternals family. I confess, initially, this wasn’t supposed to have a plot, but I started writing too much. Now after nearly two years of aggressively typing, I say it with my full chest: This work is my brainchild. I am planning a thorough and large work where there will be many words and many chapters. Although this fanfic is based on the baseline plot of Eternals (2021), there will be many original secondary characters, which I hope you will also like.
