Months after Spinel returns to Homeworld, Little Homeworld is thriving.
Little Homeschool is up and running, and The Library is open as Emerald does her best to find stability and routine in her life after Spinel’s terror.
On the surface Steven too is doing well, but underneath lies hidden outbursts, strong feelings and harsh thoughts, all left behind by his past experiences. With new information about his mother’s past and shocking truths coming from gems he hasn’t wanted to talk to in years, everything's adding up too quickly.
Steven is not okay. But he pretends as long as he can, until everything blows up in a mess of Cracked Gems and Pink.

TIME SKIP AU: Eight years after Steven Universe decided to leave Beach City, he still hadn't found a place to settle down at. In fact- so many things happened within those eight years that the Gem found himself just drifting along with life at this point. Yet, after a series of events that led him to a small-time town in Iursant... Did he find a quaint little tea shop hidden away from the world. Located within mountain ranges, far away from any Gem activities and even to the point where there weren't any Gems in this town either- perhaps finally Steven found himself a place to settle down. Maybe with the help of a tea shop keeper, could he finally heal almost a decade's worth of PTSD and experience what it meant to be in an equally giving relationship with someone who actually could understand what the Gem had gone through.

Sadly, an experimental weapon used by a group of Homeworld Rebels manages to hit a small group of said crew, sending them millennia into the past, a whooping 2000 years before Rose's rebellion.
Now, out of sheer spite (and with a little bit of giddiness) they will use their knowledge of future tech and events to completely rewrite history. 'Cause you're outta your mind if you think they'll just sit there in suffering until Pink Diamond decides to throw the temper tantrum that gives her Earth. Or even until Pink Diamond is grown.NOTE: This is a semi-serious not-quite crackfic that I'm writing to just have something that I don't take as seriously and isn't even remotely as dark as the other one I'm writing. Goshenite believes none of it; fireside tales from the older generation, warped by time and distance into myth and legend, then taken by the youth and worshipped as fact - that's all it was to her. Yet, she supposed someone had to have sent the first colonists here, and those drone ships full of life-essence afterwards, but surely their origins were not as fantastical as gifts from some… great Goddess of the Stars?

The dawn of Homeworld began with Black and White Diamond starting the empire of the Great Diamond Authority. However, as Homeworld grew the two drifted apart. Black was quickly overshadowed by the creation of Yellow and Blue Diamond, leaving him with the title of the Forgotten Diamond. Slowly undercut and eventually subdued by his fellow diamonds he became Homeworld's greatest disappointment. But then came Pink Diamond and that's when everything changed for better or worse.
NOTE: The Beginning of this story is under revision. If you don't like the story's beginning now, you might like how its written later. So, give it a second chance another time.
