Schlatt isn’t a good person, he knows this. He manipulates Quackity each day, he lets the mexican lean in for comfort and pushes him away in the next second. He’s always kept the other on his toes, desperate for attention or maybe even affection. He even admits to enjoying the pain he causes. He likes being able to control Quackity, he believed his husband to be nothing more than a tool to win the election.
Therefore he is quite surprised to find himself deprived of that attention so quickly, it feels as if Quackity had more control over him than he would have liked to admit.

Schlatt is an asshole of a president, he’s an even worse husband. But he doesn’t care, he has never cared and never will. That’s what he believed to be true at last, but after a successful assasination on his vice president he starts spiraling. -
