She cried her through the streets of her hometown and found her whole life was golden, beautiful, filled to the brim with hope. When Lin Zhen put her hand over hers, the whole world burst into symphonic euphoria. Yu Xia wasn’t young anymore, but coming home had left her drunk on her old youth, her old loves.
“If you’d have me—” she’d said to Lin Zhen, afterwards.
Lin Zhen’s eyes went soft. “Of course I’d have you."
Yu Xia comes home.

Summary
After a demon slaughters the entirety of Qiao Ling's hometown village, she returns to the ruins and finds a sole survivor: Cheng Xiaoshi. To her utter dismay, Cheng Xiaoshi's is no longer human, but a demon. Determined, she knows that he is still good at heart and refuses to have him killed or abandon him, and instead, takes him back to the community known as the Demon Slayer Corps, but the first obstacle in her way to keep Cheng Xiaoshi in the community, is nonother than the top Slayer, Lu Guang.
Surely, this professionally trained and stickler to the rules, Demon Slayer will not be swayed by this demon with the sad, gold eyes, right?
