Summary
Post-canon. The war is over, the flood is ended, and Balsa and Tanda finally go home. Tanda struggles to remain a doctor with his handicap, so Chagum suggests going to the annual NYM (New Yogo Medical) Conference on the Rotan border, where doctors of all kinds meet to share new developments and research. While there, he meets an enigmatic doctor known as The Sculptor, who makes prosthetic limbs that look and act like real ones--for a price.
