Summary
Hollstein fic based off of the album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys but mainly the song Summertime. I would highly recommend listening to the whole album and the b-sides but especially that song.
This fic is set in California in 2019 like the album.
You don't need much knowledge of the album or comic to get this fic but a little bit of background helps.
Carmilla is a vampire (the villains in Danger Days) but she is good and is not linked with BL/ind so she tries to escape California with Laura but the Killjoys follow her.

Haunted House AU. Frank Iero is looking for answers after the death of his best friend. The only people willing to help are the Way brothers. On the other hand, the Way brothers are two paranormal experts looking for some amusement.
We took a few drinks. Gerard blabbed more the drunker that he got. Mikey would mostly give us dirty looks, but didn’t talk much. According to the older brother, they’ve been involved with the paranormal their entire lives. It started when they were only kids. And it had been their “thing” together ever since. Gerard talked to the ghosts, the ghosts talked to Gerard and Mikey figured something out. They had a perfect team since ages 12 and 9 respectively.
“In a way, you’re trapped in this” I said. They didn't seem to enjoy my comparison. Their faces looked a little grim because of what I had said.
“That’s one way to put it.” Gerard wasn't looking at me anymore, he was staring at his empty drink.

This story was inspired by the LeATHERMOUTH photo shoot in the above collage.Frank Iero is a known name in the rock music scene. He was the frontman for the hugely successful Pencey Prep. After Pencey Prep split, Frank spent his time and energy with his label, Skeleton Crew. He was introduced to LeATHERMOUTH through his label, and the band offered him the position of frontman for them. With this band, Frank has propelled himself to superstardom. But with superstardom comes risks and consequences. One of those risks is psycho stalker fans.
(Note: This story is part AU, part canon. In this story, My Chemical Romance never happened; it didn’t even almost happen. Plus, I twisted some facts about Frank.)
