Summary
When Hiccup’s final test in the Kill Ring does not go as planned, he runs away, sure that nothing he can ever say will change Berk’s mind. At least he’s not alone though, and with his cousins and several dragons by his side, they leave the archipelago.
Of course, not all is smooth sailing and Hiccup’s emergence as the Dragon Master earns him more than one enemy. Eventually, it also draws the attention of Berk, who are suffering from increased raids and struggling to survive. Desperate, they reach out to him for help, but will he deem them worthy and willing to change their ways?

Ehhhhh
First and foremost, structurally built badly. No easy way to understand when it's the movie and when it's not the movie. No separation to know who's talking in the movie. Other fics handle it better, using bold, tilted text or other stuff to make things easy to understand
Secondly I'm just meh, not in the mood for anti Stoick, which this fic focuses on hard. The fic isn't bad but it's also not something that I particularly liked
Also yikes no commentary in places it obviously should have (the freeing of Toothless, Hiccup's and Toothless' first flight and almost death, etc)-
They (dragons) call Hiccup Alpha (at least future dragon, maybe others later too prob- yup) and Toothless is called ProtectorUgh I fucking hate these fics where there's no point as everyone forgets what they saw. No point to read the fic
Lovely this isn't put in a series even tho it is in one. The other fics are in their profile. I ain't reading it. I didn't enjoy this, I won't enjoy the rest. Especially as they're so much fucking longer -

How to train your dragon by Pinetree666Bookmarking this purely so I and others know this fic stole a lot from another, one I by chance was just reading. That one is Dagcup but the similarities are not just similarities, it's definitely copied. It stole a decent amount from it. Both the way the fic is built and text that isn't from the movie (the original fic is from 2020, the series is ' Dagcup Reacting'). Not everything is stolen, there's differences but enough to recognize it flat out from that fic. Poor luck that I literally just read the fic before this one so it was easy to see the same lines and fic structure.
