Marc realizes that Steven might be right. He ruins everything he touches. He’s ruined Layla. He hurt her. He is a man unworthy of love. Despite this, he can’t help but selfishly love her.

Any of them?” Layla’s grip on the wheel tightens as she holds back the tears that threaten to spill.“No.” Marc lies, low voiced, eyes squeezing shut so he can’t look at the pained expression on his wife’s face.
