It felt strange to be heading back toward Macon. To be heading back toward crying, screaming, the one time he wasn’t fast enough. But he knew that he’d drive himself insane if he dwelled on that too much, so he tried to put the past behind him and focus on the positives.
Glenn had a small group of people that he trusted to have his back through thick and thin, and that was a rare, precious thing even before the world ended. They were steadily making their way toward another group of people that he believed would do the same. With children as young as Clementine and Duck with them, it was unlikely that they’d gone very far in the past couple of months.
He had hope that they would still be at the Motor Inn, though. It was just a matter of making it there.
Funny how a trip that had once been easy as breathing could be so fraught with peril now.

The way they looked at each other, the way they talked to each other, the way they acted around each other…

As time went on, Kenny's shattered mental state plays tricks on him. Creating illusions of the one's he loves and harass him to where others are considering dangerous. Will Kenny hold out long enough to keep himself going, or will he be the victim of his own demise?
