Summary
Martin Blackwood can't help but feel guilty.
For what? He isn't sure, but it crushes him like a boulder and makes him ill. He isn't sure what he might even be guilty of - All he has ever done was for the good of others. He had lied on his damned CV to get a job he wasn't even qualified for just to take care of his mother. He had cared for every person he had ever met and supported them through their hardest times. He tried his hardest to be as kind and caring as he could, so what was it that made him feel so awful?
Then he meets Jonathan Sims at his usual cafe.
A beautiful, kind stranger with milky eyes, a college professor. Around him, Martin feels safe, like he had known this man for years, but the feeling of sickness gets worse and the guilt is a never ending ocean with Jon, and Martin just doesn't know why.
But he can't help but stay by his side.
And then the tape recorders appeared.
