"You know Stede, early is on time and –”
“ – On time is late.” Izzy finishes, and they share a small, brief smile.
He does know Stede, and Stede knows him. Perhaps better that Izzy’s ever let anyone know him. Izzy himself is usually extremely punctual, but between his tie and his boots and his hair, he’s feeling less and less put together by the second.
And of course, the thought of the man downstairs waiting to marry him has nothing to do with it.

Summary
"But something else beside the man’s cash box pulls his attention—something soft and odd and wonderful.
Stede darts toward it and gently picks it up.
A fabric doll.
It’s unlike any doll he’s seen before—adorable and strange in the best way. Mismatched buttons for eyes. Long silver hair. A scruffy gray beard. He wears what looks like an old-fashioned white linen shirt, grayish beige breeches, grey stockings, and black, buckled shoes. There are little tattoos embroidered on his arm—tiny anchors, stars, skulls, and a snake, among others, swirls of thread meant to look like ink.
Stede hugs it to his chest without thinking.
He loves it immediately."When they’re young, Stede and Ed each get a doll that looks uncannily like the other—though they’ve never met. They grow up just a few miles apart, treating their dolls like best friends: sewing them tiny outfits, bringing them along on every adventure, and confiding in them like old friends. It’s sweet, a little odd, and maybe even a touch magical.
Years later, when Stede and Ed finally cross paths as adults, they’re struck by a strange, impossible realization: each of them looks exactly like the other’s childhood doll. -

Summary
Adopting a secret cat in a no-pets-allowed apartment building is one thing. Kissing the new property manager after he discovers your secret cat is another.
Learning the property manager thought he was straight until you kissed him and accidentally sent him into a tailspin—well, it's a weird twenty-four hours for Ed Teach.
So: friends. Friends, he can do. Friends, that's easy. Except there are mochas, and there are movies, and there's this whole queer discovery he's helping Stede navigate, and there are a hell of a lot of chocolate muffins.
Sometimes the journey is the most important part.

Summary
Ed Teach had made a name for himself, that was for certain; a celebrity ad man among a sea of gray suits. And that was why the suggestion to bring him in was absolutely absurd.
“He’d never work here. He’s too good, plus he doesn’t tie himself down.”
“There’s that can-do spirit I’ve always heard about!” Lucius jokes.
“We could at least try,” Jim presses.
There’s no way. “It’s not even what he does,” Stede tries to remind them, but he can already tell which way the tide is turning.
***
It's 1964, and Stede Bonnet runs a small but mighty ad firm in New York City. When their creative director suddenly quits, his agency reaches out to an unconventional replacement.

A Mad Men-inspired AU

Summary
An ancient Egypt AU for OFMDReverseBang, based on the prompt: Ed is joyriding in his chariot pulled by his trusty horses, Izzy and Fang, when he sees Stede on a papyrus skiff, looking beautiful while picking flowers in the marshes under the sun. He loses control of his chariot and crashes into the sycamore grove of a fancy villa which he learns belongs to the pretty man picking flowers!
A GB-centric fic, though other characters feature in very minor roles.

Summary
"It's a long dark highway and a thin white line; Connecting baby, your heart to mine.
We're runnin' now, but darlin' we will stand in time; To face the ties that bind.
Now you can't break the ties that bind; You can't forsake the ties that bind."When Stede left his old life in London to move to Portsmouth, he was adamant to start living his dream of sailing and finding love. Once he meets Ed at his boating shop, this seems even more in reach. But as he grows closer to Ed, he finds himself also drawn to Ed’s business partner and friend Izzy; even more so when Stede finds himself at a BDSM night and his world is opened up to all new experiences. There is a clear connection between the three of them that needs to be explored, nurtured, and bind up tight.
