Summary
There are so many more people in the world than when Captain America was frozen in the ice, so many more lives, so many more truths he never could have imagined. Just a few very lonely-feeling months into living in the 21st century, Steve Rogers finds himself constantly plucking the strings of a world he can barely recognize. Luckily enough, he's not the only one feeling alienated. In fact, that’s how he starts gathering them, those others who, like him, are lost in the shifting of time. Human rights have made vast swaths of progress. He never thought queerness could thrive as it does now. Nor did he think he would see such hate.
New encounters have him peeling back the layers of what he was, discovering that the edges of who he could be are wider than he ever imagined.
And then there's Tony Stark.

Summary
Doreen knows she's running out of time. She's about to turn thirteen, which is older than all the protagonists in her favorite books, and her small Ohio town doesn't offer a lot in terms of a need for a chosen one. But after she wakes up with a tail and the ability to talk to squirrels, things start happening and no one else in town seems to care. Maybe she's not the one who's supposed to figure out what's going on, but she's sure as heck going to try.
OR
I didn't care that much for Doreen's origin story in the comics. I am disappointed that there are no plans for her to show up in the MCU. This is my attempt to rectify both problems.
