His feet, bare save for a pair of thin stockings, slap against the wet cobblestones, splashing water up his calves and drenching his breaches, a colony of goosebumps prickle across his skin as he runs into the frigid wind. His glasses and wig sit neglected on his bedside table in his haste, natural curls flattening against his neck and face. He launches himself at Danton, colliding into his chest with a wet slap. Freezing arms fly over his shoulders, violently locking his lips against his, yes HIS husband’s own plump scarred ones.
