Taking place a year before the movie
This is an AU, an AU of Steven Universe onto the SMB movie.
DK found being a Kong revolting, after seeing what his father and kingdom does to helpless humans who are stripped off everything they have in benefit to the Jungle Kingdom.
He came to that realisation when his father called him in to his office, thinking his son was ready for such a conversation of being future king.Not wanting to inherit the throne, Donkey Kong makes a decision more fatal and long-lasting he could ever acknowledge, that is if he's still there to do so.
