Summary
The Slate Wild travelled with made a dozen different noises whenever Link's brother used it, most of which Link had learned to ignore. At one point, the colour and lights had been alarming like a reminder of the mechanical knights and other guardians of the Temples guarding the Triforce of Courage. But he wasn't sixteen anymore, and it wasn't the same colours nor sounds, so the alarm had faded pretty fast after their first meeting.
As such, he didn't notice there was anything noteworthy about this sound until Wild began to wail.
