He looked up, pulling his hands to his chest in disgust as he felt his jeans get soaked. He was in a dark alleyway, cold wind rushing past him. He swiveled his head around and up, it was dark and cloudy and gross everywhere. The walls towered around him and he swore he saw a red smear staining the metal trashcan next to him.
As he stared at his surroundings in disgust, all he could think was: What the actual fuck.
Basically, Monty goes to Gotham after the events in Port Townsend during Dead Boy Detectives.

Summary
Monty awakens in a hotel room that most definitely isn’t his own, spacious and airy and expensive looking.
And he’s not alone.
There’s a man in the bed beside him, all golden hair and golden skin and clearly not wearing a stitch of clothing. Monty can’t see his face, but he can see hints of tattoos, ink swirling over his bicep and peaking out from beneath the edges of the blankets.
It’s very much not the first time Monty has woken up in a stranger’s bed, and from what he can see so far, far from the worst of the people he’s woken up with. He’s not sad about it, exactly, assuming the guy’s face turns out to be half as attractive as the rest of him. Maybe he’ll be up for another round before Monty takes off to catch back up with his friends.
And then he notices it – the ring on the guy’s finger. Third finger, left hand; a simple silver band.
Fuck.
