Summary
Ponyboy has finished his English theme, 'The Outsiders,' and he leaves his and Soda's shared room to grab some food and water. He briefly interacts with Two-Bit and Steve before walking into the kitchen. He thinks about going out to eat, then spirals while thinking about having to walk back alone. He mistakes his tears for blood before running inside his shared room and locks the door. He gets into bed and moments later, Darry returns from work. Two-Bit and Steve flee, then Darry and Pony talk before the latter falls into a deep sleep.
