Summary
My son.
The first time he called him that he thought time had stopped. It scratched an itch he didn’t know needed to be scratched. He thought it was a fluke. Something to get used to.
Instead it grew. Under his skin where he couldn’t reach. It spread, getting more and more painful. It was a rash he couldn’t stop scratching. The only relief brought on by the words.
