George has this memory. it’s a very vague one, but it’s always there in the back of his mind. there was him and another boy, but he can’t remember the boy’s name. what he does remember is the boy and him being inseparable - nothing could tear them apart. then, his mom told him they were moving. he remembers crying, telling the boy they’d never see each other again. but the boy just smiled, holding out a pinky, making George wrap his own around it.
“I promise we’ll always find each other.”
sixteen years later, george moved back to florida and has hope that it’s true.

Dream remembers what Boston was like. Before. When it was busy and loud, when the streetlights never turned off and the voices only slightly lowered when the sun set. When bars were at their finest and shopping districts were itching for newcome tourists, pockets laden with vacation money and nowhere else to spend it.
Dream is startled from his memory.

Dream sucks in a breath between clenched teeth. He flicks his wrist. The watch screen fades to black.
