Caelus heaved a sigh. Well, if his boyfriend was insisting on it. “Ok, and I’m only agreeing to it cause you said please. But only for five minutes.”“Five minutes,” Dan Heng agreed.
Or, the author saw the 2.2 trailer, screamed her head off and spontaneously wrote this. Do I have regrets? Nope!

Sunday finds himself at the Dreamjolt Hostelry, slumping into a barstool with a groan, his head in his hands. A drink is desperately deserved and needed, especially once he hears the light chuckle of one such gambler sauntering his way gaudily toward him.
“Spare me,” Sunday immediately snaps, his golden eyes blazing as he raises a hand to warn Aventurine. “As much as I love our little quips, I am not particularly amicable at the moment.”
“Are you ever so amicable any other time?” the Sigonian chuckles.
Sunday just wants to unwind with a drink after a long day, and Aventurine wants to keep him company; Aventurine takes care of an inebriated Sunday.

Ratio slipped his arms around Aventurine, pulling him close. He leaned down so he could bury his head in the crook of his neck, the cold skin a stark contrast to the warmth he was so used to. A second passed before Aventurine reciprocated. It was only now, when Ratio couldn’t see him, that he felt trembling hands embrace him back, and those lips stuck in a sly smile began to fall as he was pressed against his shoulder.
“Do not thank me for anything,” Ratio mumbled, “I failed.”
“Whatever you say, Veritas,” Aventurine responded. It was muffled, but he could still hear the bitter chuckle that came afterwards.
When they pulled away, Ratio pretended not to notice the damp stain on his shoulder.

After failing to secure Penacony for the IPC, Aventurine is sentenced to death. Ratio manages to secure a visit with him the night before his death day.
