Summary
"Tell me a story."
A life in ten words. If you could condense it, if it were possible, who would you trust them with? Who would you pick to know them, speak them; to translate your own words to you after you've forgotten their original meaning?
Three years after the Battle of New York, Alexander Pierce is the President of the United States and the leader of the Global Crisis Council. The world, having lost its Avengers, is quiet in the face of extrajudicial mass exterminations of potential Skrull threats by the newly-built Trinity weapon.
Steve Rogers – the dearly not-quite-departed Captain America – is in hiding, playing along with Natasha until their resistance network starts crumbling and she sends him on a do-or-die mission to help an old friend. Steve’s memories (and his willingness to confront them) might hold the key to recovering crucial intel that can bring Hydra down.
…or, the one in which Steve has to help Bucky decode TWS activation words, and that’s only one half of the story. Can be read as a stand-alone, the series is my “what-if” for the consequences of Endgame time-travel shenanigans.
