Summary
Michael Collins, a rogue Deathlok prototype, battles to reclaim his humanity after escaping AIM’s control. Discovering he is a clone of the real Michael Collins, Michael wrestles with grief, loss, and the horrors of AIM’s cloning project. Guided by a reprogrammed AI resembling his wife, Sarah, he sabotages AIM’s operations while evading relentless pursuit by AIM forces and War Machine (Rhodey), who initially sees him as a threat.
Michael’s journey leads him to confront AIM’s cloning labs, culminating in a fiery showdown with Lyle Getz, AIM’s ruthless scientist. Despite heavy losses, Michael and Rhodey destroy AIM’s cloning program, forging an uneasy alliance. Michael chooses to disappear into the shadows, erasing AIM’s influence and vowing to protect others from the suffering he endured.
Haunted by memories of a life he never lived, Michael finds purpose in fighting for a future where humanity prevails over exploitation. No longer a weapon, he becomes a symbol of resistance, driven by compassion, resilience, and the hope of rebuilding himself in a fractured world.
