Summary
Jakir owes a life-debt to the leader of the Darktide tribe. To finally earn his freedom, he is given the task of capturing a woman from the Timbermoon tribe that resides in the redwood forest. However, the task proves difficult as one obstacle after another delays him. Worst of all, his own reluctance grows stronger as he gets closer to Jema, the woman he was sent to retrieve.
