These were the absolute truths as he knew them: he had climbed and clawed his way out of a grave, he had no pulse, and the gravestone had his name, birthdate, and… a death date of the last date on the calendar he could remember.
Try as he might, he could not fully recall his last memory; the date and little more. As much as it would’ve been helpful he eventually discarded the exercise. If he didn’t have the answers he needed, he knew of only one place he could find them.
