"Maybe I'm just being too sensitive," he mutters, gazing over Fu Yao. "You didn't have to come, really. I'm just drinking here. No fun for you, my angel," he tries to bark a laugh but fails miserably when his eyes betray his despair.
Pei Ming is rarely sad—or at least, rarely seen in a gloomy mood—especially after a victorious mission. He often turns to drinking to ease his burdens. But this time is different. Fu Yao takes it upon himself to comfort his lover. After all, who, if not he, could bring light back to Pei Ming?

Summary

After Fu Yao helps Feng Xin through an anxious experience, the two of them realize that they've got something not-so-new to fight through on top of the mission: their feelings, and the fact that they've been on separate sides of the same coin for forever.
