Summary
As the war effort ramps down, initial peace talks spurred on by the young leaders' time together in the Chasm (and Claude's scheming of course), Hubert finally decides to confess his love to Maeve. He cannot imagine walking any path but the one he is currently on, but neither can he imagine anyone else he would rather have walking beside him to bring about the glory of Edelgard's plans for change.
This work includes the story of Maeve (f!Byleth) and Hubert's relationship after the end of the games, including a general summary of characters, their lives, random facts, some spy shenanigans and intrigue, more Those Who Slither in the Dark scheming, etc. Some chapters will be just overviews or detailed lists, while others will be actual narrative excerpts. '"Atarah, I mean what I said about thinking of you as my friend,” he assures, squeezing Atarah’s hands gently. “Let’s just spend the next year or so learning about each other, little by little,” Claude suggests, that dazzling smile of his appearing.'
Based on the line of dialogue Claude says in the game where he tells the newest professor "Let’s just spend the next year or so learning about each other, little by little" when he/she is inquiring about the other students and then asks about Claude himself. Claude and Atarah (my version of Female Byleth) spend the first year of the newest professor's time at Garreg Mach learning about one another and realize there is a new magic in beginnings that can lead to the development of strong bonds.
