Eggsy is sheltered. His mum hadn't coped with the death of his father and protected Eggsy from every potential threat. But it's showing now, and if Eggsy ever hopes to rise to the rank of Kingsman, he will have to get unsheltered, fast.

Summary
Eggsy hadn’t realized everything that was wrong with his life before Harry had shown him examples of what it could have been. He also hadn’t realized how much he was missing out on just being able to use a paci without being afraid it’ll feel wrong in his mouth because of the way past ‘babysitters’ had acted around him.
But he hadn’t known enough to complain before. It was a little scary, knowing that he’d been blissfully ignorant before, but also painfully stifled. He couldn’t go back to that, and he didn’t want to.
