“Worried some big bad man is gonna steal me away, Morgan?” she mocks, and it’s so close to being the final straw that Arthur feels that thin rope of self control begin to splinter in his chest. His hand dwarfs her throat, squeezing just enough to hear her breath hitch.
“Sweetheart,” Arthur snarls against her mouth, “I am a big bad man.”

Summary
After being mysteriously turned into a vampire, Mad Dog finds he doesn't exactly hate all of his new abilities. It can be annoying sometimes, that's for sure, but he's more focused on finding where The Sundown Kid has been hiding for months now. It makes sense that he'd turn up right outside of Success, and Mad Dog's never been more excited to challenge him to a duel. Mad Dog only wanted to beat him, turn him in for the money, and accomplish his years long dream, but things can never go according to his plan, can they? And soon any plans of his are further destroyed by the new threat looming over the town of Success. A threat backed by powers that may prove too strong for the inhabitants to fight without the help of The Sundown Kid and Mad Dog both changed by forces greater than them.

Summary
“Right,” he answered, somewhere between offense and disbelief. “Just a notch in your bedpost.” You weren't sure who was radiating worse energy at that point - you, sweating out pure nerves and trepidation, or him, starting to simmer with some sort of quiet anger that you weren't sure you could really place.
“You– Oh, fuck you, Patrick!” Your voice was low enough that it's still appropriate for the crowded café, but frustration was seeping through into your tone. Why wasn't he understanding what you were trying to say? Had you somehow not been clear enough with him?
“Fuck me? You're the one who came up to me, to do…what? Tell me I’m not special?” You couldn't help but feel like he was judging you.
“Why do you care so much!” It was getting harder and harder for you to not fly completely off the handle, watching him flawlessly maintain his impassive look with ease. “You shouldn’t get to be more than just a guy I fucked. None of this should matter to you.”
“Where were you yesterday?”
