Wil jerks up in the bed, back drenched in sweat as his breathing turns ragged. He darts a hand to his chest, feeling his heart thrash against his ribs. His brown curls stick to his face as he perspires some more.
He runs a hand over his face, trying to feel for any fresh marks. Nothing.
There’s no sensation of blood. No new scratches. No new bruises.
Wil lets his hand drop against the blanket as he takes a minute to catch his breath.
That was–that was just a nightmare, right?

Wil startles awake to a horrible dream while in the dorm. He seeks out his older twin, but can't help but think of how worthless he is. After all, while Techno has a purpose for attending the Ministry of Magic School, Wil, on the other hand, feels like he merely tagged along. What use is a student without magic anyways?
