Summary
Commander Edennion has a history of quick and terrible flings, and a laundry list of insecurities because of it. One of her flings, Logan Thackeray, just so happens to be a vital asset in the most recent crisis she's experiencing: One of her co-commanders went down in the airship fleet along with the Marshal, Trahearne. With no choice but to negotiate with him, she resolves to at least amuse herself by messing with him. However, her most recent partner, and most serious relationship she's had so far, doesn't take her playing around nearly as lighthearted as she'd hoped.

It’s the year 1325 AE. The Elder Dragons are all awake, with the exception of Mordremoth. This, however, is fine. The Elder Dragons are no true friend to the races of Tyria, but neither are they foes. The dragon Glint lives and continues to teach her followers, called the Zephyrites.
In Ascalon, the charr Starriean Greybone is a deserter with a terrible secret, the human Dardina Stryker is playing scapegoat and fugitive, and the sylvari Valmai of the Wyld Hunt isn’t supposed to be there at all. When they meet while fleeing the same Blood Legion war party, the three find themselves escaping to and through Lion’s Arch. Starriean and Dardina need a place to hide, and after a chance encounter with Valmai’s ‘older brother’, they find refuge in the Grove.
Meanwhile, Kilven Softember isn’t supposed to be in this reality. She’s spent a lot of time in the Crystal Desert with the dragon Vlast, but after an accident reveals some of the skeletons in her closet, Glint gives Kilven a mission. Rescue a sylvari mercenary, get into the Grove, and befriend a trio of outcasts. If she doesn’t succeed, then the fate of Tyria itself is at risk. No pressure.
