Blair Storm, a bastard girl who has taken residence in Winterfell after being saved from the sea by Lord Eddard Stark as a child, would rather get lost in the woods and practice her sword skills than partake in the upcoming arrival for the King of the Seven Kingdoms. Her pseudo-family, particularly Sansa, think her quite mad for admitting such a thing. Blair doesn't care. At the end of the day, all she wants is to be happy and safe, along with her family. As long as she has that, nothing else matters.
But the cold winds of Winter rise and with the King's arrival comes many a tragedy that occur quite suddenly in Winterfell. One of which contains a group of Wildlings attacking neighboring towns and heading right for the castle. Through this occurrence, young Blair learns a secret that will change her life, and the lives of those she loves, forever.
